Under New Ownership in 2025

In 2025, Fame alumni, Belle Osmic and her team at Osmic Productions have taken ownership of Fame Performing Arts. As a Fame student for 15 years, Fame teacher for 10 years and then going on to work closely with Fame Founder Mr Ken Kennett on the Kidding Around series and KK Productions shows she is very conscious of the effect being in Fame can have on our students. Rebuilding a sustainable business to continue the Fame legacy for years to come in the forefront of our future planning.

It is this passion to help our next generation to have an inclusive, welcoming environment, to nurture their love of performing and help give them confidence in themselves that will take Fame into it’s next chapter. With the strength of amazing teachers who have a wealth of real world experience, we look forward to welcoming our students back and meeting new students in Term 2 2025.

“I am so excited to welcome current and new students in 2025, and bring the joy of Original Fame Productions and Touring back!”

Director of Programming

Fame is so lucky to have Katie taking on the role of Director of Programming. Katie works professionally as a singer, actor, writer, director and performer. With a Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre) and a Masters of Music (Vocal Pedagogy), she is a passionate and experienced singing and acting teacher. She works most frequently with teenagers and young adults in her role at Fame Theatre Company. In her singing teaching, Katie implements neurodiverse affirming practises and has experience working with gender diverse and fragile voices, as well as assisting with post-injury vocal rehabilitation. Her teaching philosophy is grounded in current scientific understanding of the body. She believes that when a singer can understand their body and voice from the basis of its physiological function, then that creates a wonderful foundation to grow and explore musicality and artistry in a healthy and sustainable way.

Katie’s acting classes are a melting pot of creativity, frivolity and intensity. Pulling from many different acting methods, students get a well-rounded and practical acting education. Katie is impassioned to teach young actors to step out of their ego in order to build realistic and believable connections on stage and in the rehearsal room. They work together throughout the year, to create a safe and motivating space where class members can break out of their comfort zone and become inspired young actors. Their work culminates in a yearly acting recital where they have tackled plays such as The Laramie ProjectApril’s FoolGirl Asleep and Ruby Moon.

We are excited to have Katie take the lead Directing our team of talented teachers in 2025.
